1. Who we are
UK Mortgage Calculators (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website https://www.ukmortgagecalculators.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
2. What data we collect
- Information you submit via the callback form: name, email, phone, postcode area, mortgage requirements, income / employment data, and consent flags.
- Usage data such as IP address, user-agent and referring page (collected by Cloudflare and any analytics tools).
- Advertising event data, such as whether the first step of the enquiry form was viewed, where optional cookies have been accepted.
3. Why we collect it
- To process your mortgage enquiry and introduce you to a mortgage adviser or broker partner.
- To prevent fraud and abuse of the website.
- To improve the calculators, information pages and user experience.
- With your separate consent, to send you mortgage-related updates.
- With optional cookie consent, to measure and show reminder ads for up to 30 days after the enquiry form is started.
4. Legal bases
- Consent — for sharing your details with a mortgage adviser or broker partner, for marketing communications, and for optional marketing cookies.
- Legitimate interest — for basic site analytics, fraud prevention and service improvement.
5. Who we share it with
If you request a callback, your details may be shared with one mortgage adviser or broker partner so they can contact you about your enquiry. We do not sell your details to multiple lead buyers.
If you accept optional cookies, advertising platforms may receive a form-start event for measurement and retargeting. We do not send your form answers or contact details to advertising platforms for this purpose.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiry data is retained for up to 24 months for service quality and dispute resolution, then deleted unless ongoing service requires longer retention.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent. Email [email protected] to exercise any of these rights.
8. Cookies
See our cookie policy.
9. Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
